Palmeiras wins the first Samba Digital Awards for Latin America

Share:

The close run competition has set extremely high standards for future Samba Digital Awards in LatAm.

In the end, Brazilian club Palmeiras won the competition with 941 points, finishing just ahead of Esporte Clube Bahia (928 points).

The São Paulo-based team has been awarded for their campaign “Missing Escorts”. The main concept was to deliver an activation for Children’s Day, which happens in Brazil every October 12th with a special challenge: to position Palmeiras as a team who supports social causes. They decided to explore a content idea called “Family Palmeiras” to help find missing children.

The candidates for this first edition was:

– Racing Club (Argentina) – “Tu lugar en el mundo” – Esporte Clube Bahia (Brazil) – “Em nome do filho” – Club Atlético Peñarol (Uruguay) – “Peñarol Rosa” – Sociedade Esportiva Palmeiras (Brazil) – “Missing Escorts” – Club América (Mexico) – “Somos América” – CR Vasco da Gama (Brazil) – “Associa Vasco – Black Friday”

To cover as broadly and impartially as possible, the voting process was divided into three groups, including journalists and/or marketing experts, European rights holders experts and influencers and/or bloggers.

Palmeiras will receive the trophy in São Paulo, Brazil, in February.
