CBF and Bitci join forces to issue Fan Tokens for the Brazilian team
It was just a matter of time before the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) agreed to a set of non-fungible tokens, as more teams began to invest in non-fungible tokens. As the use of NFTs expands, CBF has struck a three-year deal with Bitci Technology, a Turkish blockchain company. They will generate a set of non-fungible tokens for Brazil’s national football teams as part of this agreement.
As a result of this new deal, Bitci will now be the official cryptocurrency of the Brazilian national football team. The clubs and their players will be the focus of these exciting new NFTs, which will be available for purchase on Bitci.com. This deal will affect the Brazilian men’s and women’s national teams, as well as the under-20, under-17, and under-15 teams.
The pre-sale and trading dates for the tokens have yet to be announced, according to these two organizations. These new tokens will be available on a number of exchanges in the near future. Bitici’s current vast portfolio of sports rights deals will surely profit from this collaboration. Bitci has a long list of clients, including the Spanish Football Federation and a Turkish basketball team. Real Betis, Glasgow Rangers, Wolverhampton Wanderers, and McLaren Racing are just a handful of the clubs using this popular platform right now.
This collaboration is vital in continuing to advance the CBF’s digitisation and internationalization. The way people consume football is evolving, therefore tapping into the fan token market is critical. Following initial contact with the major platforms, this might be the most important sponsorship in the history of blockchain technology.
More fan tokens are on the way
The CBF isn’t the only Federation that has signed up for Fan Tokens. On the Socios.com fan interaction and incentives app, the Portuguese Football Federation (FPF) has announced the creation of a fan token. Before all the fan tokens were completely published, one $POR fan token was distributed. These new fan tokens were sent to devoted Portuguese users on the Socios.com app. Within this app, fans are able to vote in polls, receive VIP perks, participate in unique promotions, and use AR-enabled features using these tokens. Not only that, but they’ll gain access to Socios.com’s chat rooms, games, and tournaments.
Socios.com, which was founded by the well-known blockchain company Chiliz, has big aspirations for 2021. They intend to introduce more fan tokens around the world as a result of this. Socios.com has already begun this initiative and will create regional offices in Madrid, Istanbul, Sao Paulo, and Buenos Aires. Furthermore, they will be creating a new office in North America in the near future to pursue deals with major league teams in the US.
As a result of the launch of Portuguese fan tokens, FPF will be able to reach out to its fans in new and creative ways. Not only that but it also gives fans access to exclusive benefits and experiences. Fans will be able to interact with the Portuguese team in ways they have never experienced before thanks to these additional privileges.
