Argentina receives the 2022 Samba Awards trophy
The Argentine Football Association received the 2022 Samba Awards trophy in Buenos Aires, Argentina, after its win in the Audio & Visual category last March.
In the last days of 2021, Sergio Agüero, who had joined FC Barcelona, announced his retirement from professional football practice due to a heart problem after a huge and successful career. The Manchester City legend was one of the best players to ever wear the Albiceleste and for that reason, after his retirement, the Argentine Football Association paid a video tribute in his honor.
Thanks to the “Querido Kun” campaign, the Argentine Football Association won the Audio & Visual category of the 2022 Samba Awards and now it was Nicolás Novello, AFA Media and Communications Manager, who received the trophy in hands of Javier Lanza, PR Manager at Samba Digital, in the Argentina National Team complex in Ezeiza, Buenos Aires, Argentina.
“It is a honor for AFA to have received this award. This only reinforces our work intentions and our mentality when it comes to communicating. Thanks to Samba Agency for the recognition”, Novello said.

Claudio Tapia, AFA President, also spoke after receiving the trophy: “Congratulations to our Media Management, especially Nicolás Novello for this recognition.”
The Argentina National Team won the award by beating Brazilian giants Flamengo and Atletico MG, second and third place respectively, in the Audio & Visual category after the great and emotive video production “Querido Kun” from AFA.
