To support our growth in France, we are looking for an Account Manager to manage key client relationships, oversee social media and digital operations, and drive sales growth.

Job requirements 📋

What you’re excellent at:

  • Building and nurturing strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
  • Managing client expectations and ensuring high satisfaction levels through clear, proactive communication.
  • Coordinating multiple projects and priorities simultaneously, from briefing to delivery.
  • Identifying growth opportunities and upselling services in a consultative way.
  • Translating client briefs into structured scopes, timelines and budgets.
  • Presenting confidently to clients (reports, recommendations, pitches).
  • Working fluently in French and comfortably in English (spoken and written)

 
The role is for you, if:

  • You have at least 5 years’ experience in account management or client services, with mandatory experience in the sports industry with a key player (rights holder, brand, broadcaster or agency).

Job Responsibilities ✅

1. Client Relationship Management (~40%)

  • Act as the main point of contact for a portfolio of French and international sports clients.
  • Hold regular meetings to understand their needs, capture briefs, present reports and provide strategic and operational advice.
  • Manage day-to-day client requests, ensuring they are logged, prioritised and answered within agreed timelines.
  • Handle client complaints or issues as they arise, escalating to senior management when needed.
  • Monitor client satisfaction through formal and informal feedback and implement corrective actions when required.
  • Maintain detailed records of meetings, presentations and decisions for each client.

 
2. Sales & Business Development (~30%)

  • Meet your revenue targets by ensuring that existing and newly onboarded clients reach their annual sales objectives with Samba Digital.
  • Identify and pursue upsell opportunities across Samba’s services (social media management, content, data, internationalisation), involving senior colleagues when needed.
  • Negotiate and renew client contracts so that they are mutually beneficial, reflect the value delivered and remain profitable.
  • Monitor pricing versus market benchmarks and ensure margins are aligned with Samba’s short- and long-term objectives.
  • Proactively protect your client portfolio by building strong, long-term partnerships.

 
3. Project Coordination (~30%)

  • Oversee the initiation and delivery of digital and social media projects, from briefing to post‑campaign review.
  • Ensure that all deliverables are aligned with client goals, brand guidelines and contractual commitments.
  • Coordinate internal teams (social media, editorial, creative, data, internationalisation) and external partners when required.
  • Build and manage project timelines, estimates and status reports, ensuring transparency with clients and internal stakeholders.
  • Support service teams from onboarding to performance feedback, ensuring smooth handovers and consistent quality.
