PR Operations on Roland-Garros Junior Series by Renault 2024
MISSION
Samba Digital was responsible for planning and managing all communication for the Roland-Garros Junior Series by Renault, the largest youth tennis tournament in the world. We handled all aspects of digital content as well as coordinating broadcasts to 18 countries via ESPN and Star+ (currently Disney+), Disney’s streaming service. This included producing videos and posts for Roland-Garros’ global accounts, press releases, media relations, and media operations for the entire tournament, as well as pre- and post-competition periods.
The Roland-Garros Junior Series by Renault is an event promoted by the French Tennis Federation in Brazil, giving tennis players from eleven different South American countries and Mexico the opportunity to compete for a wildcard entry to the Roland-Garros Junior tournament held in Paris.
The purpose of this tournament stems from the current statistic that, on average, 80% of the top 100 tennis players in the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP), Women’s Tennis Association (WTA), and International Tennis Federation (ITF) rankings are of European or North American nationalities.
Under the management of Samba Digital, the PR results for the Roland-Garros Junior Series were extremely positive, with over 775 articles published about the competition in the 11 countries directly involved.
