How the Chiefs made Monterrey feel like Kansas City for one night
Mission
During the first-ever Super Bowl fan experience in Monterrey, the Kansas City Chiefs partnered with Samba Digital to create an immersive, fan-first activation that made the Chiefs feel present and accessible to local fans in the city.
Fully conceived and operated by Samba Digital, our teams were on site shaping the concept, the fan journey and the live execution throughout the entire day.
The brief was clear: blend Chiefs identity with Monterrey’s football culture, and turn a live local moment into a meaningful digital touchpoint for the franchise.
Approach
Samba designed and operated a full-day fan experience built around four core pillars:
- Immersive Stand Design
Built an open, interactive space that blended Chiefs culture with Monterrey’s football community through branded props, visual elements and intuitive storytelling cues. - Seamless Photo & Registration Flow
A QR-based system allowed fans to register, move through the stand, capture branded moments and receive printed keepsakes on site — turning a short stop into a personal, shareable memory. - Live Fan Engagement
Kept energy high throughout the day with tailgate-style games, giveaways and competitive challenges, supported by branded prizes and signed memorabilia. - Real-Time On-Site Adaptation
The team continuously adjusted the flow of the space in real time, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience across more than 12 consecutive hours of live fan interaction. - Digital Amplification
Content captured on site was distributed across the Chiefs’ Instagram and TikTok channels, extending the activation’s reach beyond the physical event.
Results
A single day of live fan activation in Monterrey delivered measurable impact both on the ground and across social media:
- ~30,000 views generated across platforms
- 10,000+ video plays from on-site content
- 12+ hours of continuous live fan engagement on the ground
- First-ever Super Bowl fan experience in Monterrey, a landmark moment for the NFL in Mexico

Samba’s on-the-ground execution proved that when live experiences are designed with fans in mind and connected to digital storytelling, global sports brands can create real local impact, even within a single day.
From the stand design to the photo flow to the social content, every element was built to make fans feel part of something bigger than the event itself, leaving with a memory, a keepsake, and a reason to keep following the Chiefs.
This activation demonstrated that physical presence and digital reach are not separate strategies. When integrated from the start, they multiply each other’s impact.
