Samba Agency and Juez Central launch the first Club World Cup on Twitter
In times times of quarantine and empty stadiums, Samba Agency together with Juez Central, one of the most recognized sports influencers in Latin America, launched the #GolazoJC Club World Cup where 16 clubs from 10 countries around the world competed to win the title for the best goal from their Twitter profiles in Spanish. More than 200,000 fans have voted in just five days of competition and Club America from Mexico was crowned champions of this edition.

This original initiative, organized to entertain fans digitally in Latin America and encourage them to vote from home respecting quarantine advice, had the participation of Juventus FC, SSC Napoli (Italy), Paris Saint-Germain, AS Monaco, LOSC Lille (France), Tottenham Hotspur (England), Eintracht Frankfurt (Germany), Club América, Mineros FC (Mexico), Atlético Nacional (Colombia), Los Angeles FC (USA), Racing Club (Argentina), Peñarol (Uruguay), Sao Paulo FC, Gremio FBPA and Atlético MG (Brazil). These 16 clubs faced each other in a round of the last 16 format that is decided on “Twitter polls matches”.

The contribution of Salvatore Marcenaro, creator of Juez Central; in addition to the Spanish-LatAm social media editors, the creative team and the invited clubs’ great efforts were key to the success of the initiative”, said Pedro Caffa, social media manager at Samba, in charge of this campaign.
