Epic has done it once again! Just as we didn’t think the game could be more addictive, the groundbreaking game developer has partnered with some of the world’s most famous football clubs, and some smaller clubs you may not have expected, for new Fortnite skins and the launch of the Pelé Cup. Previously Epic had worked with the NFL to create new skins in 2018 but this is their first big move into ‘soccer’.

Firstly, Epic Games launched the brand-new Kickoff pack, where you have 23 kits from teams from all over the world, including Europe, the USA, Japan, Australia and Brazil, to choose from.

So, what clubs do we actually get?

  • Manchester City FC
  • Juventus
  • AC Milan
  • Inter Milan
  • AS Roma
  • Seattle Sounders FC
  • Atlanta United FC
  • Los Angeles FC
  • Santos FC
  • Wolverhampton Wanderers FC
  • West Ham United FC
  • Sevilla FC
  • Sporting CP
  • Borussia Monchengladbach
  • FC Schalke
  • VFL Wolfsburg
  • Rangers FC
  • Celtic FC
  • Cerezo Osaka
  • Melbourne City FC
  • Sydney FC
  • Western Sydney Wanderers
  • EC Bahia

What else will be included?

In addition, Pelé’s iconic air punch emote, which we’ve all tried to perfect with our own triumphs, will be featured on January 23rd. And the Pelé Cup tournament began on January 20th, giving dedicated fans the ability to win new skins for free. The lucky winner received ten different football outfits and the iconic Pelé emote. The top three ranks in a number of participating areas had the chance to win a signed FC Santos Jersey.

On January 21st, Faze and Manchester City became a team to create the Faze City Cup. However, this is not the first time that Faze and City have worked together. Previously, in 2019, Faze and Manchester City established a partnership to develop outstanding content with skilled players and to launch limited edition, co-branded retail products. If their previous relationship can tell us anything, it’s that more great content is yet to come. Faze players including Nate Hill and Kyle “Mongraal” Jackson will be among the players taking part in the Faze Cup.

Not only has Epic launched these new skins, they have released a new football theme game in Fornites’ creative mode. Players will have the ability to move themselves, pickaxes, power-ups, speed boosts to defeat your opposition. The game has a 4v4 bracket design, each game has two rounds.

With more and more of us at home, we need more entertainment than ever before. With every new idea, Epic Games meets this demand. It’ll be exciting to see what they’re making next, keep your eyes peeled!
