We are seeking a skilled and talented Business Development and Customer Success Manager to increase the visibility of our clients and develop new business opportunities in Germany.


The Business Development & Client Success Manager acts as the bridge between our clients and the agency teams and is responsible for ensuring that the agency is meeting the client’s needs, working with all the key functions that go into creating the agency’s delivery. 

Along with managing accounts, he/she develops commercial relationships with target clients to drive awareness about Samba Digital’s range of services and monetization opportunities for rights holders and external brands. 

As the country representative for Germany, the Business Development & Client Success Manager reports to the UK/Europe Territory Manager.

The candidate will focus on:

  • Partly acting as Customer Success Manager with a focus on maximising digital engagement, driving content consumption and delivering exceptional experiences across all touchpoints.
  • Initiating and implementing a sales strategy and managing the full sales cycle – from cold to closing – with the core ambition of driving growth and engagement for our new partners and clients.



Customer Success

  • Be the client’s main point of contact and liaise directly on all matters relating to content production and community management
  • Manage the day-to-day of the client account, including meeting organisation, timing plans, estimates and client contact reports
  • Activate and respond to client briefs, translate brief into scope of works and internal department briefs
  • Monitor project/campaign/activation deadlines and budget, identifying and communicating potential changes
  • Set and track the KPIs of the accounts to ensure that key performance metrics are being hit 
  • Identify opportunities to add value to the client’s business (upsell)
  • Own contract renewal and proposition by building an action plan covering client needs assessment, service proposition and growth objective


Business Development

  • Act as Samba Digital’s first ambassador in the German market
  • Establish and maintain a strong network of relationships within the market to generate new leads and opportunities
  • Promote Samba Digital’s internationalization solutions to relevant sports rights holders with regular calls, meetings and proactive proposals
  • Maintain an up-to-date and organized CRM system (Pipedrive) and manage goals and KPIs to report on progress
  • Coordinate meetings, pitches, and commercial propositions with the support of the team and available tools



  • An accomplished sales professional with a proven track record of managing clients and closing new business deals, whether on the agency or rights holder side
  • Good knowledge of the football environment and ideally other sports (basketball, tennis, motorsport)
  • Relentless desire to win new business and ensure our accounts are covered from every angle
  • Ability to empathise with a client’s needs and connect these with the solutions the agency provides
  • Working knowledge of building a regional sales strategy by setting a course of actions through quarterly result prioritisation
  • Exceptional communication skills, both verbal and written, with a talent for building strong relationships with clients and colleagues alike
  • Strong knowledge of social media fundamentals, methodologies and techniques 
  • Has a proactive, positive can-do approach and acts on initiative within a fast-paced social media environment 
  • Collaborative team player with a strong sense of responsibility, committed to achieving team goals and exceeding client expectations
  • Highly process-driven, able to work efficiently and effectively within established frameworks while also contributing to process improvement initiatives
  • Proficient in the use of key sales tools including CRM (Pipedrive), LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and scrapping tools
  • Excellent language proficiency in German and English
